Auto Body Paint Technician

 

Unique ground-floor opportunity for the right candidate to join a high-end classic car restoration shop. In this critical role, you will use your skills as an automotive painter to produce the highest possible quality paint finishes for our customers. You will also assist as needed in the repair, fabrication, and general restoration of body panels and other car components.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prep, sand, and prime bodywork for final paint
- Paint and finish work to include wet sanding and buffing
- Prepare body panels/parts and assist with final assembly

Other Responsibilities:
- Disassembly and documentation of vehicle to include exterior trim, interior, and all body panels/parts
- Fabrication of repair panels to include cutting, shaping, bending, and welding
- Assist with final assembly and other finish work as needed

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years working in a body shop in a similar role
- Experience painting cars in a commercial shop
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Experience fabricating sheet metal parts using various shop tools (English wheel, metal brake, hammer/dolly, and MIG/TIG welding) a plus

Office Administrator

 

Unique ground-floor opportunity for the right candidate to join a high-end classic car restoration shop as the Office Administrator. In this critical role, you will represent the business as the first point of contact by phone or in-person, and will manage all the clerical functions similar to those of an automotive dealership.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Basic Bookkeeping (Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable)

- Generate and track billing

- Payroll processing

- Answer telephone and perform initial call screenings

- Maintain contact list and generate mailings

- Greet clients, prospects, and visitors

Other Responsibilities:

- Assist in the organization of car shows

- Assist with parts orders and returns as needed

- Process car sales documentation

- Maintain all licenses and certifications for the business

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar role

- Experience with Quickbooks or similar application

- Must have valid driver’s license

- Must have excellent communication skills and exhibit high-level of professionalism

Entry-Level Bodywork Apprentice (Full Time)

 

Excellent opportunity for the right individual to learn from skilled artisans performing metal fabrication, bodywork, and paint in the restoration of classic automobiles.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the various components, systems, and construction techniques that were used in older/classic cars. Experience repairing damaged bodywork, forming sheet metal, and/or welding/fabricating a plus.
